Online social networking services and applications, such as Facebook, X/Twitter, WeChat, TikTok, and Mastodon, have become integral to people's work and daily lives, attracting billions of users worldwide. Various innovative and emerging technologies are already shaping interactions between individuals in both physical and digital spaces. Social computing is an interdisciplinary field that combines social science with computer science. Meanwhile, artificial intelligence (AI) technologies play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience of computational social systems. This special issue aims to bring together cutting-edge research that explores the intersection of AI and social computing, focusing on the development and application of AI technologies to understand, model, and enhance social interactions and collective intelligence. We aim to publish high-quality original research articles related to AI for social computing.

 

Scope of Topics

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

- AI-driven social network analysis and mining

- Social media analytics and sentiment analysis

- AI-powered social recommendation systems

- Computational social choice and decision-making

- Decentralized online social networks and the fediverse

- Application of LLMs in online social networking services

- AI-generated content in social networks

- AI ethics and fairness in social computing

- AI for social good and humanitarian applications

- Human-AI interaction and collaboration

- AI in social robotics and virtual agents

- AI for social learning and knowledge sharing

- AI in social simulation and modeling

- AI for modeling and predicting social influence

- Negative impacts of AI/LLM in online social networking services

 

Submission Guidelines

Authors should prepare papers in accordance with the format requirements of Tsinghua Science and Technology, with reference to the Instruction given at https://www.sciopen.com/journal/1007-0214, and submit the complete manuscript through the online manuscript submission system at https://mc03.manuscriptcentral.com/tst with manuscript type as “Special Issue on Artificial Intelligence for Social Computing”.
