We invite applications for PhD scholarships to join a vibrant research team on data science and machine intelligence (http://www.dsmi.tech/) to tackle real-world, high-impact, and theoretical and applied research problems at the Advanced Analytics Institute, the University of Technology Sydney.

In order to maintain and lift our profile in innovative research and industry engagement internationally, we keep recruiting creative, passionate, and self-motivated talented students to grow up our team.
Qualifications required: Successful applicants will hold or be close to completing Honours or Research Master’s Degree with high GPA in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related fields with knowledge background in data mining, statistical machine learning, web mining, text mining, recommender systems, and social computing evidenced by substantial capability in algorithmic programming and models development, and industry project engagement experience.
Duration of Scholarship: Fixed-term, 36 months with possible 6 month extension:
Amount of Scholarship: Approximately AU$52,500 per annum (living stipend and tuition fee waiver), plus possible top-up industry scholarship/internship 5k-10k p.a.
