Zhang Liwei received his B.Sc. in 2004 from the Henan Polytechnic University and his Ph.D. in Mineralogy, Petrology, Mineral Deposit Geology in 2010 from Hefei University of Technology. He teaches in Henan Polytechnic University since 2004 and has been moved to a postdoctoral position in the Institute of Geology at Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences from 2012 to 2016. Then he joined the faculty at the School of Resources & Environment of Henan Polytechnic University up to now. His current research interests span a range of topics in sedimentology, including Ichnology, Microbially Introduced Sedimentary Structures (MISSs), and extinction event in Earth history.
