獲武漢大學(xué)學(xué)士,、碩士(導(dǎo)師 張德向),，新加坡國(guó)立大學(xué)博士學(xué)位（導(dǎo)師 蔡達(dá)成 Chua Tat-Seng）。華南師范大學(xué)計(jì)算機(jī)學(xué)院教授，博士生導(dǎo)師,，副院長(zhǎng),，CCF高級(jí)會(huì)員,，ACM廣州分會(huì)副主席,。目前主要研究方向?yàn)榻逃鼳I,、數(shù)據(jù)挖掘,、機(jī)器學(xué)習(xí)和多媒體信息檢索。在國(guó)際知名的人工智能雜志和會(huì)議上發(fā)表了智能計(jì)算,、多媒體信息處理等方面的論文多篇,。并多次參加在北美、歐洲等地舉行的國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議并作會(huì)議學(xué)術(shù)報(bào)告,。曾赴美國(guó)密西根州立大學(xué),、英國(guó)牛津大學(xué)訪學(xué)。主持過(guò)的科研項(xiàng)目有：國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金青年及面上項(xiàng)目,、廣東省自然科學(xué)基金面上及團(tuán)隊(duì)研究項(xiàng)目,、粵港關(guān)鍵領(lǐng)域重大突破項(xiàng)目、教育部博士點(diǎn)新教師基金,、教育部留學(xué)回國(guó)人員基金,、廣東省信息安全重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室開(kāi)放基金和廣州市科技攻關(guān)計(jì)劃項(xiàng)目等。獨(dú)立指導(dǎo)全日制學(xué)術(shù)型碩士和工程碩士幾十名,，多名學(xué)生曾獲得國(guó)家獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金,、IBM優(yōu)秀研究生和廣東省南粵優(yōu)秀研究生等稱號(hào)。

Jing XIAO received the B.S. and M.S degrees in computer science from the Department of Computer Science, Wuhan University, Wuhan, China and the Ph.D. degree from the School of Computing, National University of Singapore, Singapore.Dr. Xiao is interested in image processing, computer vision and cross-media retrieval. From Nov. 2013 to Nov. 2014, Jing visited the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Michigan State University, USA.
