獲武漢大學學士,、碩士(導師 張德向),，新加坡國立大學博士學位（導師 蔡達成 Chua Tat-Seng）。華南師范大學計算機學院教授,，博士生導師,，副院長，CCF高級會員,，ACM廣州分會副主席,。目前主要研究方向為教育AI、數(shù)據(jù)挖掘、機器學習和多媒體信息檢索,。在國際知名的人工智能雜志和會議上發(fā)表了智能計算,、多媒體信息處理等方面的論文多篇。并多次參加在北美,、歐洲等地舉行的國際學術(shù)會議并作會議學術(shù)報告,。曾赴美國密西根州立大學、英國牛津大學訪學,。主持過的科研項目有：國家自然科學基金青年及面上項目,、廣東省自然科學基金面上及團隊研究項目、粵港關(guān)鍵領(lǐng)域重大突破項目,、教育部博士點新教師基金,、教育部留學回國人員基金、廣東省信息安全重點實驗室開放基金和廣州市科技攻關(guān)計劃項目等,。獨立指導全日制學術(shù)型碩士和工程碩士幾十名，多名學生曾獲得國家獎學金,、IBM優(yōu)秀研究生和廣東省南粵優(yōu)秀研究生等稱號,。

Jing XIAO received the B.S. and M.S degrees in computer science from the Department of Computer Science, Wuhan University, Wuhan, China and the Ph.D. degree from the School of Computing, National University of Singapore, Singapore.Dr. Xiao is interested in image processing, computer vision and cross-media retrieval. From Nov. 2013 to Nov. 2014, Jing visited the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Michigan State University, USA.
